MAKE REFRESH CARDS

Refresh Cards are handwritten inspirational messages of encouragement that we include in each Refresh Pack given to Frisco ISD students in need. You are helping us make these packs special, so we thank you!

• 3x5 or 4x6 cards OR thick cardstock/construction paper cut to size (any color)
• Colorful markers or pens

Keep in mind that these cards are going to students of all different ages and religious views. For that reason, please follow these guidelines:

• No religious references or religious quotes
• Messages should be gender neutral
• Do not write your name anywhere on the card
• Cards should be handwritten
• Use one or both sides of the card
• Messages can be repeated, as each card is going to a different child
• Write neatly and big enough to easily read (no ‘fancy’ writing that is hard for little ones to read)
• Do not just write a few words – take time to be creative and make them look special! Draw, use stickers, different color markers, etc. – Quality is more important than quantity!

These are just examples you can use, but feel free to come up with your own:

• Have an amazing day! 
• You’re perfect just the way you are! 
• Make today count! 
• Follow your dreams!
• It’s a good day to be happy!

• Take a picture of your child/group making or holding their completed Refresh Cards so we can share on our Refresh Frisco Facebook and Website! Send your pictures to info@refreshfrisco.org.
• Drop completed cards off at any of our drop-off locations and include your child/group’s name so that we can thank them!
•  For those needing service hours, please contact Anja Newbury at info@refreshfrisco.org. You can earn 1-2 service hours (25 cards = 1 hour, 50 cards = 2 hours). Do not just write a few words – take time to be creative and make them look special! Draw, use stickers, different color markers, etc. – Quality is more important than quantity!
